Alicia is an accomplished marine scientist specialising in zooplankton and biological oceanography.
Alicia's research has been conducted primarily throughout the Leeuwin Current system and she has an in depth understanding of the marine environment and physical processes off the Western Australian coast and the wider Indian Ocean.
Alicia has worked professionally for six years on projects involving zooplankton, seagrass, fish and cetacean communities, and is an experienced field scientist having collected a variety of biological and oceanographic data from tropical and temperate environments.
Alicia is a published scientific author and an effective science communicator. She also has a keen interest in citizen science not-for-profit organisations that have a focus on conserving marine biodiversity.

Paul is an experienced marine scientist who grew up and studied in the United Kingdom before immigrating to Western Australia in 2005. He received a BSc (Hons) of marine science from the University of Tasmania with a focus on reef fish community change during extreme sea surface warming.
Paul has extensive experience in marine biodiversity monitoring and in the design and implementation of monitoring programs.
Paul has a special interest in supporting rigorous scientific discovery through citizen science engagement. Paul’s high level involvement in Australian marine citizen science not-for-profit organisations provides a knowledge bridge between citizen science, management and scientists.
Paul holds an Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS) diving certification.
